 The Rock Bands are dedicated to the study of the great classic rock songs from the Beatles in the 60s to Led Zepplin in the 70s to today's Maroon 5 and Green Day. Students study lead sheets and tab music to perfect their playing. Ear training, theory and stage presentation is all taught to the kids. Along with technique, skills and a practice schedule that insures they'll learn. Students as young as 6 begin with Queen and Beatle songs like "Get Back" and "We will Rock you". They quickly learn each song, accelerating their training. In a few weeks the student band is having fun playing classic songs like "Twist and Shout" "Maps" and "TNT". The students learn creativity, teamwork and group fellowship, a sharp contrast to video games and I pods, that are reclusive and shut out friends and family. Band form life long bonds.
